COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

MEETING OUR MEMBERS WHERE THEY’RE AT

Are you hosting an event and want the SERJobs Community Outreach team to attend? Know that your client population would benefit from knowing about our services – occupational training, career coaching, financial empowerment, and employment assistance? Need a SERJobs representative to speak at your PTA, civic club, all staff, or super neighborhood meeting? Or want to explore how we could team up to tackle removing economic barriers for individuals along the Texas Gulf Coast?

Reach out to us! Our friendly Community Outreach team is here for your organization. Not only will we bring a wealth of knowledge on our services and frequently asked questions clients might have, we’ll also bring smiles and SERJobs-branded swag to make our outreach efforts an accessible experience for Texans from all walks of life.

Please let us know at least 2 weeks in advance of your event if you would like to schedule a time for our team to come out – our calendar fills up quickly!

SERJobs’ Success Story - David’s Story

David joined the Growth Opportunities program with a clear goal in mind: to obtain his GED. David set his sights on CDL training, determined to create a better future for himself. The road was not easy, as David faced moments of discouragement, particularly after failing the permit test twice. However, his resolve never wavered. His efforts resulted in earning his CDL in December, a significant achievement that was quickly followed by securing employment in his field and driving long distances with Out of the Box Trucking, LLC.
