SERJobs’ Success Story - Durriyyah
Durriyyah’s journey to success began with enrolling in the SERJobs CDL program, which marked the first step toward a life-changing career. After completing the program, she further honed her skills at Kindle Trucking School, ensuring she was fully prepared for the challenges of the road ahead. From there, she acquired all the necessary endorsements and secured a position at ACIS Logistics—a company that had attended the job fair at SERJobs following her graduation. Upon receiving her CDL, she was well aware of the industry's competitive nature and understood the importance of gaining one year of experience to secure a more prestigious job. Determined, she spent that year driving over the road at ACIS Logistics. During this time, she leveraged the “Ten Street Driver Pulse” trucking app to apply for a variety of positions. Although she received numerous responses, it was TA Dedicated that truly stood out. TA Dedicated offered her a remarkable opportunity: they covered her drug test costs and flew her to Atlanta for an all-inclusive, two-day training session. With this invaluable experience behind her, she is now proud to call herself a “TA employee.” Reflecting on her path, she expresses her deep gratitude to everyone at SERJobs. Without their guidance and support, she would not have earned her CDL or become a woman in trucking—a profession she never imagined herself in. However, when the opportunity presented itself, she seized it with determination, and it has been a rewarding journey ever since. Her success story is a testament to the power of embracing new opportunities and the support of programs like SERJobs that help individuals achieve their career goals. Thanks to SERJobs, she is not only thriving in her career but has also found her true passion on the road.
