INFORMATION COMMUNICATIONS TECHOLOGY
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Train on-site with employers specializing in network cabling infrastructure, audio visual, wireless, and security solutions for schools, hospitals, corporate buildings, and industrial facilities. This training program provides skills leading to industry jobs and is the prerequisite to the MCA ICT Registered Apprenticeship program.
COURSE DETAILS
This training provides students with the entry-level technical knowledge needed to understand the field of Telecommunications and Networks and mobile technologies. The training is offered in partnership with MCA communications, an industry leader. MCA is the fastest growing technology Integrations Company in Texas and through its open door staffing policy, is always looking for strong leaders with a desire to advance.

CERTIFICATIONS / CREDENTIALS EARNED:
Entry-level Telecommunication Technician Certification, OSHA 10, National Apprentice Credential
Training Schedule:
three weeks total as follows:
1. Job Readiness Training JRT: Virtual training
# weeks: One week- Mo-Fri (5 days)
Time: 9am-12 noon (M, T, W, Fri)
Time: 9 am- 4 pm (Thursday)
Location: Virtual with SER Jobs
2. Internet Communication Technologies training: In-person
# weeks: Two weeks – Mon-Fri (total 10 days)
Time: 8am-4pm

The booming telecommunications industry includes companies that make global communication possible, like MCA Communication, satellite companies, cable providers, and internet service providers. You can get hands-on training with employers who specialize in network cabling, infrastructure, audio-visual setups, wireless technology, and security solutions.
The ICT field has numerous career opportunities and pathways of growth. At MCA, upper management is mostly comprised of individuals who started at the ground level as an Entry Level Technician and then took that foundational knowledge to graduate to Level 1, 2, & 3 Technicians, Lead Technicians, Field Supervisors, Field Project Managers, Build-Out CAD Designers, On-Site Service Technicians, Rack Commissioners, Safety Coordinators, Project Estimators, Project Managers, Project Coordinators and roles in billing & materials.
