ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT, GRANTS

Paula Recio is the Assistant Director of Advancement (Grants) at SERJobs with over a decade of successful experience in development, grant research, and writing. Paula developed her passion for nonprofits and grant writing as she served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club. During her term on the board, the Governor’s Office of the State of Georgia approached Paula to help create a nonprofit, community-based collaborative for the County in which she resided. She enthusiastically accepted, then formed and incorporated the organization where she wrote and received several grants the first year. After that, she was hooked! Paula is a true SERJobs success story – she began her journey as a client and has been with the agency for nearly eight years, and has been an integral part of the Advancement Department for the last seven years. Paula is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She has two sons who inspire her and looks forward to becoming a grandmother one day.
